Sometimes you have to write things just for yourself, right? Be true to yourself as an artist and all that?
Because, although I was very enthused about the second sequel to my sci-fi short story, Poof!, when I first finished (yes, I finished!) it, I've since come to the conclusion that no one is going to like it but, well, me. It's a "different" style, and maybe others wouldn't appreciate it. Or something. I don't know.
Still, I like it, I really do.
And I think it works well as a bridge between Poof! and Poof! 2: Princess. I mean, am I the only one who read both and wondered what it must have been like to be on the train at the end of Poof!? Yeah, probably. LOL
I'm almost done the multiple-draft process and will be pubbing Poof! 1.5: The Train hopefully within a few days (if life out in the real world cooperates). Or a bit longer, if I have trouble figuring out how to put the three stories together under one tab (yes, it's true — with regard to website stuff, I am technologically inept), and find some photos or illustrations for each, since I realize that we are now a very image-addicted culture here on the Internet. Yes, indeedy. But, hell, I like looking at something purty or fascinating or (most especially) creepy, too, so I can relate.
Anyway, I just thought I'd update you all on my progress. My real world has been batcrap crazy lately, but my short story is chugging along calmly, toward that big bright light at the end of the tunnel.
